Infiniti/Nissan - Cheats?

So I bought a car a while ago. An Infiniti G35. I must admit I enjoy driving it. But there is this one thing that irks the hell out of me. I bought the car along with its premium package which among various other features also provides the "driver entry/exit assist". Apparently the seat automatically moves back making it easier for the driver to enter or exit the vehicle. I didnt care for this feature, but it was listed on the list of options you get when you pay for the premium package.

Even that sticker on the car which all new cars at a dealer have (the one which gives all the options included and price etc) lists this easy entry/exit assist option. So one day as I am reading the manual for the car, I decide to try this option out. I just could not get it to work. I call the dealer, they said bring the car in. They could not get it to work, and could not figure out why it would not work. Then they finally came to the realization that this feature is available only if you have the automatic transmission version of the car. I had bought the car with manual transmission.

Isn't there something very wrong with this scenario? I don't really care for this option, but clearly I was charged for it and there is no documentation anywhere which says this feature is not available on cars with manual transmission.

If I ever get a chance to call Infiniti/Nissan Motors to discuss this, I will post the results here :-)

Comcast Comcast Comcast

So the other day I notice that my cable modem is down as a result of which (of course) I could not connect to the web. So I call the customer service number for my ISP (Comcast). After making several choices on their menus I get put on hold before I can speak to the next available customer service agent. After about 30 minutes of being on hold a message comes saying that the wait is very long and that they are unable to service my call. The message goes on to say that I should go to their web site for help.

Just what are these morons thinking of? Press 2 if you cannot connect. Followed by a "we are unable to respond at this moment. Please check our web site at www.comcast.net".

How rdiculous can Comcast possibly get? I know that is a stupid question. I am certain they can exhibit a lot more stupidity than what I experienced. Too bad no DSL where I live. YET!!!! I love competition :-)
